Using shortcuts in myGrenton iOS

The Shortcuts application allows you to create a shortcut for the Run Scene action, which is the equivalent of the SCENE widget from the myGrenton application.

Adding the SCENE widget in a shortcut is only possible for the interface with Cloud access checked (in the Interface Settings, the "Use cloud" switch is turned on). SCENE widgets are available from all interfaces in the myGrenton application, both active and inactive.

Shortcuts are launched only by the Cloud, regardless of the current connection type of the myGrenton application to the system.

Running a scene is also possible using Siri. Suggested phrases for invoking the myGrenton scene with Siri:

More information on how shortcuts work, their functionality and how to call them in Siri can be found in the documentation of the Shortcuts application.

Using shortcuts in myGrenton Android

To use the shortcut, launch the SCENE widget in the previously uploaded interface. Next, exit the application and hold down the myGrenton application icon until the context menu appears. The shortcut associated with the SCENE widget will appear in the list. To add it to the desktop, hold down the shortcut and move it to the desired location on the desktop.

After clicking on the added shortcut on the desktop, if the application has a correct connection with the CLU, the method will be called and the message Success! will be displayed, which will disappear after about 1 second. If the shortcut is not invoked correctly, the message Failure! will appear on the screen.

Running a shortcut is also possible using Google Assistant. To set a given shortcut, use the Shortcuts option in the Google Assistant settings. Then, find the myGrenton application on the list and add a shortcut with your own or default name using the + button.

After performing the above steps and saying the name of the shortcut to the assistant, the method assigned to the SCENE widget will be invoked.
